Other areas that we actively advocate for include:
- Improvements in the New Zealand Occupational Medicine Specialist Training Programme through AFOEM NZ.
- Improvements in ACC services through regular meetings with ACC.
- Continuous review of the systems in place to protect workers at risk of occupational dust disease and inform a national approach to the prevention, early identification, control and management of occupational dust diseases in New Zealand, through WorkSafe’s Dust Diseases Task Force.
