Work Site Information and Selection

Numbers limited to 20 for the Refinery Visit – first in – first served.
You MUST bring your own SAFETY BOOTS for the Refinery Visit. SAFETY SHOES OK for Port.
Also – bring your own glasses, Hi-Vis vest and gloves if you have them. Limited numbers available.
Fire resistant Overalls, Gloves, Hard Hat, Glasses should be available from NZ Refining.
If you are arriving on the 9.30am plane from Auckland on Friday morning, pick up your bag ASAP and look out for a designated ANZSOM shuttle going to the Distinction Hotel. You will be able to drop your bag and get on the bus to the worksite visit locations, so pack your boots etc. separately.
This is the ONLY flight with a shuttle. Other flights – make your own way to the venue.
10 am and 1pm Bus leaves Distinction Hotel for the visit locations. Bus returns to Distinction Hotel by 12.30pm, and another after 4pm.
You can go to both (one am, one pm) or either one or the other.
If you choose both, then there is a shuttle to transport you between the locations.
There is an excellent cafetaria at NZ Refinery for lunch if you are going to both sites.
1 – NZ Refining (Oil Refinery)
You MUST complete the induction form PRIOR to the visit.
Once this has been signed off, a login to the online Health and Safety Induction will be sent through that will need to be completed.
2 – Northport (Northland Port area)
Northport is a deep-water commercial port situated at Marsden Point. It is New Zealand’s newest port, designed and built as a flexible, multi-purpose facility to cater for a wide range of cargoes and their associated vessel types.
